The church hospitality committee has the dedicated focus of providing a welcome and hospitality experience for members and visitors to the Parish. Theirs is the ministry that creates a great impression of ongoing Parish engagement, and in doing so, encourages members and visitors to maintain their spiritual enthusiasm and encourage regular participation in congregational life.
Areas of involvement for the hospitality committee include:
Church greeters: Members, who welcome Mass participants at each church service in the Parish, distribute newsletters and provide the warm and welcoming “face” of the Parish.
Provision of hospitality after Mass: Members who co-ordinate and provide morning tea/evening supper before or after Masses in the Parish. This is a special way of facilitating the meeting of old and new parishioners.
Assist newcomers: helping regularly returning visitors become connected to the Parish community.
Our Lady Help of Christians Parish warmly welcomes visitors to the Parish and this committee is one very tangible way of extending the hand of catholic fellowship to others who come to our church.
If you would like to assist the hospitality committee, please contact the Parish Office.
